You're A Fool If You Paid $28K For The Jose Bautista Bat Flip Home Run Ball

Quite a steep price on this ball, eh? I'm not sure why anyone in their right mind would willingly spend over $28,000 for the Jose Bautista bat flip home run ball. Sure it was an awesome moment in Blue Jays history, one of the most exciting plays in baseball in the last 20+ years, but 28 grand? Buy a car or something instead, dude. Put a payment down on a house, go on a vacation, why th hell are you putting that much on a damn baseball?

It's not like it was a World Series home run, or a walkoff to win the pennant, it was a go-ahead homer in the ALDS. I love the Delmon Young double in the 2014 ALDS more than any other play in Orioles recent history, but you won't find me or another Baltimoron shelling out almost 30 grand for that ball. The Bautista ball is an awesome memorabilia piece to have for sure, but at that price? I'm not sure who bought it, but if it isn't Wayne Gretzky or some other rich Canadian, it's a waste. You can't just put that ball in the man cave and wait for your buds to come over and show them, that thing belongs in the stadium, or the Hall Of Fame in the Blue Jays exhibit.  Like what do you do with it? Carry it around with you and wear it as a necklace? Put it in a restaurant? Do you try and sell it back to Jose Bautista, oh nevermind, he doesn't have a job so he can't afford it, real shame. It's not like that homer sparked the Jays and propelled them on a World Series run, they lost in the ALCS to the Royals in the next round. It's no where close to the Joe Carter homer.

I'm not sure why it says "record" either, the Mark McGwire 70th home run ball sold for $3 million, a home run ball from the 1933 All Star game hit by Babe Ruth fetched over $800,000, Barry Bonds' 756th home run ball was sold for $752,467.20, so that $28,252.80 is no where near the record.

Here is a list of things you could buy with $28,252.80, the same price as the Bautista ball.

-1,412.64 showings of Rough N Rowdy.

-12 Peloton Bikes.

-717 copies of this ready to frame matted Rougned Odor vs Jose Bautista photo from Etsy.

-1,662.90 handles of New Amsterdam Vodka.

-1,121.14 Goodell Clown tees. (BUY BUY BUY)

Again, it was a really awesome moment, but why on earth are you spending that much money on that ball? If you're the person who spent that money on this ball I hate you more than I hate Jose Bautista.
