Wild Video Of A Couple Of Skiers Almost Getting Trampled To Death By An Angry Moose

Source - BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. — A woman, in an effort to warn others of the dangers of moose, posted a video on social media of a moose charging skiers and snowboarders at a ski resort.

The video shows a large bull moose approach and then charge a crowd of people. There were no reports of injuries. Resort CEO John Buhler recently said staff tries to prevent guests from approaching the highly territorial herbivores, which are generally peaceful but can turn aggressive when they feel threatened.

Of all the places to get chased down by a moose, the flat part of a ski slope has the be the worst. Granted, these guys were able to get their speed up relativity quick, but they still had to do that awkward ice skating motion to get going. Which for those of you who have never been skiing is the fucking worst. It’s turns what’s supposed to be a leisurely activity into a full-body workout. Regardless, the most surprising part of this video is the lack of urgency by everyone involved. The lady with the sled didn’t even run.

It’s like they didn’t understand the danger they were in. One swing of the antler and they’re fucked. I’d actually rather be attacked by a bear than a moose because at least bears are rational. The second they think you’re dead they leave you alone. A moose will hit you when you’re down just to prove a point. Look at how vicious these things are.

Anyway, if you’re skiing make sure to keep your head on a swivel and always ski in an area where the police have jurisdiction over the moose.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife spokesman Mike Porras says the agency has jurisdiction over moose. He says wildlife officers are the only law enforcement personnel that can decide when to tranquilize and move a moose.
That way if they get out of control they can give them a stern talking to.
