News, notes and quotes:

  • Three point night for Sean fucking Kuraly. His first career three point game. Factored into every single goal. He has 4 goals, 3 assists in his last 10 games. Fish Bowl might have to stay forever.
  • David Pastrnak loves playing the Toronto Maple Leafs. His 26th of the season was the game-winner. Bruins are now 15-3-1 when Pasta scores a goal.
  • Charlie McAvoy returned to the lineup tonight after missing the last 9 games (LBI, foot). Played 18:28. Now that the Bruins finally have 7 healthy defenseman, John Moore sat in favor of Matt Grzelcyk. We’ll see if Bruce Cassidy interchanges the defensemen to get Moore back in the lineup. Thought Gryz had a solid game.
  • Tuukka Rask made 30 saves and is now just one win away from tying Tiny Thompson as the winningest goalie in Franchise history. Tuukka came up huge in the last two minutes of the game as the Leafs threw everything they had to the net. 2 U’s 2 K’s.. massive two points.
  • The last five minutes was just unbelievable hockey. Thought Jack Edwards was gonna have a heart attack. Hope to see Toronto in the playoffs come April. It’s becoming a great rivalry.
  • Other: newly acquired (for the second time around) Paul Carey scored the game-winning goal for the Providence Bruins against Springfield tonight.
