CNBC- Tesla is seeking more than $167 million in a lawsuit against former employee Martin Tripp, recent legal filings revealed. In the lawsuit, which was filed by the electric car maker in June, Tesla alleges that Tripp, a former process engineer, had illegally exported data and made false claims to reporters, among other things. Tripp had earlier claimed in a number of press interviews that Tesla engaged in poor manufacturing practices at its massive battery plant outside of Reno, Nevada, and that it may have used damaged battery modules in its Model 3 vehicles, posing a risk to drivers.

An interim case management report published on Nov. 27 reveals that Tripp’s attorneys aim to depose Tesla CEO Elon Musk and more than 10 people involved with the company. Tesla has refused to make Musk available and sought to limit the number of people deposed by Tripp’s defense team at the law firm Tiffany & Bosco.

Disgusting, abhorrent behavior from Elon Musk and Tesla here. An ex-employee tries to do the right thing by calling attention to Tesla’s shady manufacturing practices and how are they rewarded? The ex-employee gets branded as “disgruntled” and Tesla goes after every dime they have. 167 million dollars?!?!?!?!?! That’s such an asshole amount to ask for. Especially when you consider that the ex-employee was simply trying to save the lives of Tesla car owners. Hey maybe Elon and Tesla should’ve taken that information and fixed the problem instead of attacking the person who brought it to light. Isn’t that a novel idea.

One of Elon Musk’s biggest problems is that he refuses to acknowledge he doesn’t have the midas touch. People have blown so much smoke up his dick that he actually thinks whatever he touches turns to gold. It never crosses his mind that everything he and his company does might not be perfect. He always blames failures on everyone else. This is a perfect example of that. The ex-employee makes a legitimate claim that Tesla is engaged in poor manufacturing practices and Elon’s response is to throw up his arms and scream, “Oh! That employee is just mad!” It’s a truly insane way to run a company, big or small.

The fucked up thing is that most people will only see headline like Ex-Tesla Employee Badmouths Company And Gets Sued and be on Elon Musk’s side. If they would take two seconds and read a couple words they’d see that it’s yet another story of Elon Musk being a complete and total dickwad.
