Auston Matthews And Mitch Marner Will Be In The Nutcracker

The National Ballet of Canada announced today that Toronto Maple Leafs stars Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner will be in the National Ballet of Canada’s Performance of the Nutcracker. The two will play Cannon Dolls, as celebrities usually do in the play and will be in the Dec. 19th show at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts in West Toronto.

The Nutcracker runs from Dec. 8th– Dec.30th and there are a number of Canadian celebrities who will also be Cannon Dolls in the show including TSN Sportscasters Darren Dreger and James Duthie. I know a couple of podcasters who do a pretty popular podcast in Canada who probably would of accepted an invited. Imagine Paul Bissonnette in the National Ballet of Canada? That’d be a treat for everyone.

Awesome to see Marner and Matthews doing shit like this though. The hockey world needs to embrace themselves for it though because the Maple Leafs and Toronto have been waiting for young, marketable players like Marner and Matthews for years and now they are going to put them out there for the world to see. We have seen it with Matthews on GQ already. I hope the world is ready….because the Leafs are coming.
