[Courier-Journal] - Louisville Metro Police arrested a 24-year-old man Saturday evening at Churchill Downs after officials say he entered a restricted area, mounted a horse and rode it out toward the track, according to a citation.

After jumping on the horse, he rode it out of the tunnel to the track entrance of Churchill Downs, according to the citation, and was caught by police shortly after he made his way to the tunnel.

Sometimes you get caught up in the moment of sports. I get it. You get a bit too in to the game, trying anything to turn the luck around. That’s what I’m thinking happened here. You’re at the track. You have a wallet full of cash and thinking this is the time you hit every bet. But, oh, no, all of a sudden the 30-1 horse comes in down the homestretch. You try to fade the favorite and of course it wins. You’re on tilt. Only one thing left to do.

Go steal a horse and win that race yourself.

Needless to say, you may want to try and steal a horse that actually has a chance to win. Or, you know, know how to ride said stolen horse. If you’re getting busted before you even get on the track you’re screwed. Either that or just don’t steal a horse. That works too.
