Thursday Afternoon NBA Time Waster: The Rise Of Joel Embiid

Alright folks, we’re now at one of the most important parts of the entire week, and that’s getting you to Friday. We’re all tired as shit after staying up wayyyy past our bedtimes watching baseball and basketball, so I know how much of a grind today was for you. Probably right around 2pm you really started to hate your life. But you powered through and got this far, so take a load off and let me get you to the finish line and into freedom.

One thing about me, is it doesn’t matter who it is, I am a big time sucker for a good basketball documentary. So sure, even though I’m not exactly a Sixers guy, I love Joel Embiid and if you don’t you’re an asshole. Celtics/Sixers bullshit aside, he is an incredible talent and an even better story. It’s impossible to not like him and that’s just the facts. He’s a guy who talks shit with the best of them and for the most part backs it up, and he’s one of the more brutally honest players in the league. When I saw Vice Sports put out this documentary a few weeks before the season, I knew it would be perfect for all the Sixers fans on this site who maybe hadn’t seen/heard this story before. It’s fascinating stuff.
