Do You Love Free Money? Of Course You Do

Boston Celtics Media Day

Listen, I’ll be the first to admit I’m not the biggest gambler. With a nose and last name like mine, you can imagine I’m not exactly looking for ways to give away my hard earned cash. However, it has been brought to my attention that there is free money to be had if you do enjoy that sort of thing, and I feel like it’s my responsibility to make sure you are all aware of what currently is happening in the world of NBA props.

It started with this tweet

I thought I was still asleep. That can’t be a real number can it? Does Vegas know that Brad is going to rest guys left and right and Terry will probably play 20-25 minutes? So I went online and checked, sure enough, it was in fact true

Naturally, I kept looking. No chance this was the only free money bet out there right? Well, look what I found

Ummm….do I think Joel Embiid will get more than 2.5 rebounds a night? Uhhhhhhhhhh ya fucking think??

Guess when the last time Al Horford had more than 7.5 rebounds a night? 2013-14 when he was 27. Now he got close last year at 7.4, but now that he’s going against other centers I feel like this is a classic under situation. Call it 7.1 and win money

Let me get this straight. Tristan Thompson has a huge guaranteed contract. Khloe already doesn’t care that he cheats on her every 5 seconds. I’d say this is the lock of all locks

He’s been over this number each of the last two years, and are we thinking the Rockets got worse? Well maybe a little, but did you just see them make 28 threes the other night? I don’t care if CP3 is there, he was at 8.8 last year with him playing next to Harden.

With Baby Dirk out for an extended period of time, and Bobby Portis already being one of their main go to options on the second unit, 10 points a night seems low. Also factor in he averaged 13.2 last year, and I’m confused how Vegas got to that number. He’ll likely play more, he’s becoming a better outside shooter, and the Bulls don’t care about winning so he’ll probably have a green light.

So far, those were the only ones that stood out. Now again, I’m almost positive there is a mistake with that Embiid rebounding number, and I have no idea if Bovada would honor anyone who wagered on that, but shit isn’t it worth a shot? I will say, if any of you throw money on these and win, there is a 10% referral free so I’m going to need you to hit up my Venmo come next June.

Good luck everybody, and enjoy your early retirement.
