Conor McGregor Has Made Weight And We Officially Have Ourselves A Fight, Ladies And Gentlemen

There you have it! Both competitors in tomorrow night’s UFC Lightweight Championship bout have made weight, and the fight is now officially on.

Conor McGregor showed about an hour and five minutes into the weigh-in window, worrying many fans that he was having difficulty with his cut being Khabib Nurmagomedov was the first to step on the scale at 9:00am local time. There’s nothing to worry about with a professional like Conor, though. This man fought Max Holloway through a torn ACL. He fought Chad Mendes with a 80& torn ACL. He’s never missed weight in his career, whether it be at 145, 155, 154.4, 170, he does not give a foooooook. You tell him what weight class to show up in, you throw a few extra zeros onto his paycheck, he’s there. Is the weight cut tough for Conor? Of course it is. It’s part of the fight game, however, and when everything in that fight game is put together…nobody does it better than the Notorious.

The MMA Gods were good to us, today, folks. They really were. Look up to them and say a prayer tonight, thanking them for pulling enough strings to get Khabib Nurmagomedov on weight for a fight he’s probably tryna’ run from right now! What a feat!

P.S. Conor was full of energy on that scale, as always. Nowhere near as dead and deflated looking as Khabib. Love to see that. He came in at .5 under, as well, just showin’ thhat this shit ain’t shit for him. Love that too.
