NFL Power Rankings - Week 4 (One Sentence Edition)

This is going to be the one sentence addition. I will change up the format each week, with Big Cat coming onboard to rank all of the below .500 teams.

Please, as always, remember that these rankings mean everything and that you should complain if you don’t like them.

The Bills are very bad, Josh Allen is going to have a long year and the win over the Vikings seems to be a fluke.

Josh Rosen wasn’t amazing, but he was good enough to give Cardinals fans a little hope while David Johnson runs behind a hopeless offensive line.

Week 1 seems like it happened ten years ago, and the New York Jets’ offense has been awful ever since.

The Raiders benefited from some bizarre officiating but got the win as Derek Carr finally produced a decent game.

Despite giving it their all, the Giants might finally be forced to tank, which would be great in their needed quest to draft a good young quarterback.

With the exception of their win over the Patriots, the Lions’ defense has been pretty bad, and they need to step it up or their season will be over soon.

Credit to the 49ers for keeping it together following Jimmy Garoppolo’s devastating season-ending injury; this team might scrape out a few wins.

Besides the Browns, the Colts might be the closest to 4-0 right now with game-winning drives stopped late against the Bengals, Eagles and now the Texans.

The Texans finally found a way to eke out a win, but their promising season is still in a tough spot with a better-than-expected AFC South.

Tough weekend for the Seahawks, despite the win they almost didn’t get, with Earl Thomas going down for the season amidst trade chatter.

Even with Baker Mayfield’s nice debut, despite the turnovers, Browns fans continue to bask in misery as the team blew their third game in which they should have won.

LeVeon Bell is finally coming back in a few weeks and boy do the Steelers need it as they have completely abandoned the running game.

Dak finally threw for 200 yards and combined with Ezekiel Elliott for an impressive game for a team that can compete in what seems like a weak NFC East.

It was a tough loss, especially considering the defense buckled down right up until the end of the game; Case Keenum hasn’t thrown a touchdown since Week 1.

Well, the fun ended quickly for the Buccaneers who got walloped by the Bears and have officially ended the short FitzMagic stint.

It wasn’t easy but the Chargers, in front of a 49ers home crowd in their own stadium, avoid their patented early-season hole with a solid win.

Along with the Browns and Colts, the Falcons should be kicking themselves over the fact that they are a few yards away from being 4-0 right now.

The Dolphins squeaked out a few close wins against mediocre teams and one aided by a weather delay against the Titans, but their 3-0 start looks a little fishy after they got destroyed by New England.

With the return of Alshon Jeffery, the Eagles offense clicked better this week behind Carson Wentz, but they still haven’t put together a complete game.

I want to think the Vikings are going to figure it out, but the bottom line is that their hyped-up defense has been pretty awful as they head into a key matchup against the Eagles.

The Ravens haven’t really beat anyone amazing yet unless you still believe in this poor Steelers squad, but they have scored a ton of points and have a solid defense.

On the road in Atlanta, the Bengals picked up a gutsy win and continued to score a shit load of points in the process.

It was a bye week for Cam Newton and the Panthers, but I couldn’t drop them below a Cincinnati team that they beat; if this team gets healthy, they should contend right behind the Rams.

Even if it was just the Bills, the Packers, especially their defense, bounced back with a nice win as they head into games against the Lions and 49ers, before a showdown with the Rams.

Dropping a team on their bye week is rough, but if they can beat the Saints and Panthers in their next two matchups, this team may end up being pretty damn good.

Wait a second, are the Titans good? Back-to-back wins against the Jaguars and Eagles is impressive, especially considering Marcus Mariota basically has one hand right now.

Big Cat can’t stop me from putting this team in the Top 10 anymore if Mitch Trubisky has a good game throwing the football, this team is elite with their stout defense.

I am a fucking idiot for dropping this team so far because we all knew they would bounce back and just crush the Dolphins.

The Jaguars continue to show that they will go as far as Blake Bortles takes them, as he was efficient and gained over 400 yards of total offense.

Drew Brees throwing no touchdowns and still leading the Saints to a comfortable victory is impressive and Alvin Kamara got back on track with a dynamite game on the ground.

One of the last two undefeated teams, the Chiefs had their first real scare, but Pat Mahomes came through and cemented his young legacy with a comeback win.

This is the best team in football, by a longshot.
