Sometimes When You Listen To Bruno Mars You Get Pregnant, Other Times You Pistol-Whip Your Best Friend

[Indy Star] – A Greenwood man was booked into the Johnson County Jail over the weekend after he was accused of reaching for his handgun instead of his Shazam app to end a dispute with his longtime friends over a Bruno Mars song.

The man said they were all talking when an argument broke out over a song and its artist. The man said the song they were debating was sung by Bruno Mars, but Washburn said that it wasn’t.

When the man showed Washburn proof that it was indeed a Bruno Mars song, the argument grew more intense. He told police that they both stood up and continued to argue until Washburn pulled a gun on him.

The man said he responded to the brandished weapon by calling Washburn a “chicken (expletive)” and Washburn swung the weapon at him, striking the man in the face and arm.

Now, this is what I’m talking about. Bruno Mars stays hot in the streets and honestly may get a little more credit here? He’s an unreal talent who delivers jam after jam and there are numerous people out there who have procreated listening to Bruno Mars set the scene. In fact it was discussed on our very own Podfathers.

But, now we’re talking about violence. While violence is never the answer, I do appreciate this. Sometimes you stick your boots into the ground so far during an argument you don’t even let facts sway you to the right side. If you don’t think Bruno Mars was the singer of said song, you stick to it.

And if you get proven otherwise you call the guy a chickenshit and start to beat your best friend. I just can’t stop picturing the scene. Two friends, drinking, having a Saturday, which are for the boys. Just hanging out, arguing about who the top-10 players in the NBA are, what bets to throw down on. Then a song comes on. You say you like the show, your buddy agrees. When you say ‘oh, I really am enjoying the new Bobby Valentino’ your buddy loses his mind.

Unfortunately we have no idea what song was being played that led to the argument. That’s really the only part of the story that I need to know. What caused it all? Was it something obvious? That will sway whose side I’m on here.
