Will Tiger Cry When He Wins?

Been seeing this question on twitter. Will Tiger cry when he wins? The only time I can really recall Tiger crying was the 2006 Open Championship just a few months after his dad died. He said it stunned him. Golf robots don’t cry so naturally those little beads of water dripping out of his eyeballs was shocking. But there Tiger was bawling his eyes out in Stevie Williams’ shoulders.

Look, Tiger hasn’t won in 5 years. He’s had several back surgeries and a fusion. He’s had this crazy rebirth where he’s nice to people and friendly and smiles and shit. His kids are old enough to know what’s going on but refer to him as the “youtube athlete.”

So will he cry?

Hell no he won’t cry. He’s a machine. His spinal chord is an unbreakable, fused pole. This isn’t the culmination of things — this isn’t the destination. This is the beginning. We’ve got the Ryder Cup in 5 days; we’ve got haters to silence; we’ve got majors to win; we’ve got Jack to catch.

We don’t cry when we win. We expect to win.

This is just the beginning.
