SourceCNN obtained a copy of Daniels’ book. …

Daniels says she saw Trump the next day after they had sex when he invited her to a club in the VIP section of a golf course (it was in a club at her hotel). That is where she met Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, she says.

He was chatting with Trump, and at the end of the night Trump asked Roethlisberger to walk her up to her hotel room. She says he asked her for a “good night kiss.” She refused. She says he pushed lightly on her door as they stood outside her hotel room.

“I was terrified. I am rarely terrified,” Daniels wrote, saying Roethlisberger responded, saying, “‘Come on.'”

She closed the door and writes that Roethlisberger “stood outside, not leaving” while knocking at her door for several minutes but eventually left.

CNN has reached out to Roethlisberger’s representative for comment and had not heard back by the time of publication.

Well I suppose if you’re a fan of the Steelers and of Ben Roethlisberger, you’re breathing a little easy right now? I mean, when two days ago Stormy Daniels’s lawyer cryptically Tweeted out they’ll have no further comment on the Big Ben passage in the book, the Worst Case Scenario was a lot worse than this, right? Especially given that 2006 was around the time all the stuff was coming out about how Roethlisberger was a just a big “Doing it With Drunk Chicks in Barroom Janitor’s Closets” enthusiast, it could have been a lot more damaging than this.

Not that I’m condoning him putting Stormy Daniels in fear. The first rule of taking your friends’ porn star hookup back to her room is to make sure she feels protected, not threatened. Asking for sloppy seconds off your real estate mogul’s sidepiece is acceptable, but only within the limits of her wishes. Consider her feelings. Look for non-verbal clues telling you she is not interested. If she declines, the proper thing to do is wish her a good night, make sure she gets into her room safely, then go back to your room and watch 2006 movies on the hotel Spank-o-Vision. (Let’s see, in 2006, that would’ve been The Devil Wears Nada, Hairy Porker & the Sorcerer’s Bone or Pan’s Labia.) Not try to push her door open or persist knocking.

The important thing is that eventually, he did take the hint and hit the bricks. Does this rise to the level of a #MeToo moment? If I’ve learned anything from the great Norm MacDonald, if you say something isn’t you leave yourself open for a world of retribution. So I’ll leave the #MeToo-ness of this in the eyes of the beholders. Just learn the lesson from this that, just because you’re a Super Bowl quarterback and the porn actress you’re escorting back to her room just had sex with your celebrity businessman buddy, doesn’t mean she wants to do you too. That’s a life tip from Ben Roethlisberger.
