Hugh Freeze Couldn't Get A Head Coaching Job Because Of The Climate In America, Not Escorts And NCAA Sanctions

You know, he has a point. I mean whether he’s talking about climate control or the fact that he thinks America is soft now is clearly why Hugh Freeze can’t get a head coaching job. It has nothing to do with the fact that he left Ole Miss littered with NCAA sanctions. It has nothing to do with the fact that he was calling escort services on his university issued phone. None at all.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard that other people are stopping Freeze from getting a job. Back in April it was rumored that Nick Saban was looking at bringing him on as an assistant coach, because there’s nothing Nick Saban loves more than bringing on former head coaches and rehabbing their careers. Well, maybe winning championships. But, other than that, there’s nothing more that Saban loves.

When the rumors were out there that Saban was interested though, this came about:

However, SEC commissioner Greg Sankey encouraged Alabama not to hire a man as well known for the personal shortcomings that led to his Ole Miss resignation as he is for his success as a coach.

So maybe Freeze is on to something here. Maybe it’s the fact that he was blackballed for a year, allegedly, while dealing with all this stuff. I’m sure he’ll find a spot coaching again once the ‘climate’ changes. Whatever the hell he meant by that. Just a lesson to coaches. Don’t get hit with sanctions and don’t call escorts from the university phone. Use your own phone or a payphone. Or just win, that tends to help too.
