Dad Goes "Magnet Fishing" With His Family, "Accidentally" Reels In Gigantic Duffle Bag Full Of Guns

Source - A family who went magnet fishing reeled in a bag full of guns and ammunition. Father Douglas Simcock, 39, found the weapons when he was fishing with his family on August 26 at around 2.15pm. The arsenal was discovered wrapped in yellow hi-vis jacket with bricks in it.

First of all, magnet fishing? I asked YP if he’d ever heard of it and he said no, so I’m pretty sure it doesn’t exist. Which makes the whole situation a little suspect. You just happened to drop a magnet on top of a load of guns in the river? The river is thirty-nine miles long, twenty-feet deep, and who knows how wide, and you just so happened to drop your magnet on that three foot by three foot square containing a vacuum sealed bag full of guns? Guns that you were way too comfortable handling and counting in front of your family.

Seems a little fishy. Regardless, the video begs the question: if you were in that situation, do you keep the guns? I mean it’s not like he found a bag of money, but guns are still expensive. Not only that, most of them hold their value as long as they’re well maintained. The only downside to keeping them would be if you were implicated in a murder. That or if someone came looking for them and you had them. Other than that it’s kind of a cool find. Much better than an English river fish. Which are like regular fish but with disgusting accents and poor dental hygiene. Chances are he had the turn them into the police considering his wife filmed the whole thing. Oh well, glad he was able to get them back, at least for a little while.
