Spineless Elon Musk Gets Bullied Into Keeping Tesla Public By Board Of Directors

NYT- Tesla isn’t going private after all. In a statement late Friday night, Elon Musk, the electric-car maker’s chief executive, said he and the company’s board had concluded that they would not turn Tesla into a privately owned company. The move halts a process set in motion by Mr. Musk in a Twitter post on Aug. 7. The reversal is the latest upheaval for the company, which has struggled with production challenges for its first mass-market car, the Model 3. “I knew the process of going private would be challenging, but it’s clear that it would be even more time-consuming and distracting than initially anticipated,” Mr. Musk wrote in a statement that Tesla posted on the company’s blog shortly after 11 p.m. “After considering all these factors, I met with Tesla’s board of directors yesterday and let them know that I believe the better path is for Tesla to remain public,” he said.

Hold up a darn second! Are you telling me Elon Musk said something was gonna happen and then it didn’t end up happening? Well I’ll be damned. I’m shocked. He said he was gonna take Tesla private and that the funding was secured and then none of that happened? Like at all? Wow. An absolutely shocking development outta the Elon Musk camp.

Except it’s not shocked at all cause I called it after he tweeted about taking Tesla private

Listen I get that Elon Musk is a pretty smart dude but it’s not a good look when a high school-educated blogger can call out every move he’s about to make. He’s really that predictable. I shouldn’t be able to predict what’s gonna happen to a genius billionaire three weeks before it happens.

All of this is just further evidence that Elon Musk can’t do anything right. It’s an alarming trend. I would’ve at least respected him if he had actually taken Tesla private. That’s what he said he was gonna do and I would’ve had to tip my cap if he’d actually done it. But he didn’t. Tesla will remain a public company despite having the “funding secured”. This particular unfulfilled promise happened in super embarrassing fashion. Elon Musk basically got bullied into keeping the company public by the Board of Directors. He knows that if he pisses them off any more than he already has that they’re gonna vote his ass out. This is yalls wonder boy/genius/Iron Man-like CEO? LOL. He’s not even in control of his own company. Sad. Another day, another thing Elon Musk said was gonna happen didn’t happen. Lather, rinse, repeat.
