Congressman And Marine Duncan Hunter Is A Huge Piece Of Shit For Using Wounded Warriors As A Pawn In His Lies

1. “Throughout the relevant period, the Hunters spent substantially more than they earned. They overdrew their bank account more than 1,100 times in a seven-year period resulting in approximately $37,761 in ‘overdraft’ and ‘insufficient funds bank’ fees.”

23. “On or about March 20, 2015, when Duncan Hunter told Margaret Hunter that he was planning ‘to buy my Hawaii shorts’ but had run out of money, she counseled him to buy the shorts at a golf pro shop so that they could falsely describe the purchase later as ‘some [golf] balls for the wounded warriors.'”

27. “On or about November 23, 2015 in an attempt to justify the use of campaign funds to pay for the family’s trip to Italy, Duncan Hunter attempted to set up a day tour of a US naval facility in Italy. After Navy officials responded that they could only provide a tour on a particular date, Duncan Hunter said he would discuss the proposed date with Margaret Hunter, then subsequently told his Chief of Staff, ‘tell the Navy to go f*** themselves [no alteration in original],’ and no tour occurred.”

Allegedly.

Well, let me start by saying that I dont care about the first part nearly as much as I do other. Politicians on both sides of the aisle are corrupt and violate campaign finance rules. The fact that he spent money on vacations and trips to Costco are big deals but it certainly isnt shocking.

Duncan Hunter is a Marine. More than that, he ran on a platform touting his Marine service as one of the reasons why he was fit to fill the office. That’s where points 23 and 27 come into play for me.

We’ve all made jokes about “the troops.” Do this for the troops. Do that for the troops. “I cant be the only one who thinks a group of troops could come into the NFL and win the Super Bowl” and shit like that. To make up some shit about getting wounded warriors golf balls and using a meet and greet with Navy personnel as a shame to pay for your vacation is different.

Because of all this, Duncan has been forced to step down from his positions in Congress.

Embattled Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-Calif.) has agreed to step down from his committee assignments, a GOP leadership source told The Hill.

Hunter, who was indicted Tuesday for allegedly misusing thousands of dollars in campaign funds to pay for lavish vacations and other personal expenses, initially signaled that he would fight Speaker Paul Ryan’s (R-Wis.) call for him to step down from his committee posts.

That would have forced the Steering Committee to meet to recommend his forcible removal in September, creating headaches for the GOP and another potentially embarrassing headline for Hunter.

I’m not sure if he is being forced out because of his trial or because he legit sounds like a crazy person.

“Democrats’ arm of law enforcement” brought the accusations against him. “It’s happening with [President] Trump, it’s happening with me. We’re going to fight through it and win, and the people get to vote in November,” he said. “I think they’ve used every dirty trick in the book, so it’ll go to court when they want it to.” He elaborated on the “new Department of Justice” further, calling the agency’s officials “a politically motivated group of folks.” “We’re excited about going to trial with this, frankly,” Hunter said. “I’m not worried… We’re not leaving, we’re not backing away. We would like for the government to present its facts. It’s wrong. This is politics, unfortunately.”

Jeff Sessions is a Democrat. Everyone knows that.
