The Internet Has To Stop Picking On Thunder Fans

Oklahoma City Thunder v Miami Heat - Game Three

Yesterday I blogged about Harden and Westbrook teaming up during his charity event over the weekend, knowing that on some level it may have brought sadness to OKC fans out there who are just trying move forward and not rehash old wounds. Well today, the internet continues to kick OKC fans square in the dick with a new video coming out, this time with Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, James Harden and Paul George all teaming up for a run at Rico Hines

While part of me is interested to see how all these guys look (they look good, go figure!), I couldn’t help but think of the nice people of Oklahoma that did not ask for this. I’m sure they’d rather spend their summer getting excited for the current Thunder’s future of Westbrook/George and yet more and more videos like this one come out only to show them what could have been. What did they do to deserve such ruthless treatment? I know it’s impossible for that foursome to actually be on the same team in today’s NBA, but that doesn’t make it sting any less in my opinion.

And how about Rico Hines? Why had I never heard about this before this summer? That’s the beauty of summer basketball and the internet in 2018, we as fans are starting to get a look into all these private runs involving elite NBA talent which is exactly what my basketball withdrawal needs. And don’t sleep on LeBron going and watching, he’s absolutely starting to scout his new competition to see how they’re all progressing this summer. Wish he sacked up and played though given who was in this video. I think we all deserve a Westbrook on LeBron dunk to be honest.

But for the sake of the Oklahoma stoolies and basketball fans everywhere in that state, I’m going to have to ask the internet to refrain from posting any more summer workout or summer run videos involving any combination of the old OKC team. We get it, they all look ready for the season but enough is enough. There’s no need to continue to throw salt on the wound and rub in how stacked that team was.
