In Today's Episode Of NBA Summer Workout Porn, May I Present To You Jaylen Brown And Brad Stevens

Yesterday gave us some quality Jayson Tatum/Semi footage, well today we are blessed with another summer workout video this time via Jaylen Brown. As I’ve stated many times, for the players who are not playing in Summer League, we as fans are reliant on these social media/YouTube videos of their training so we can get an idea of how much we should overreact about our favorite player’s development.

For me, this quick video told me one thing. Jaylen is not ready to settle on his success after what was a very strong first year as a starter. He wants to keep elevating his game and is willing to put in the work, love that. The second is something that we saw with Tatum that I think may be part of the Celtics program. They want all their scorers to master the Kyrie/Harden side step jumper. The NBA has made it clear they will not call this a travel, so naturally Brad is having his young guns perfect it. As a player who has shown progress with his shot from Year 1 to Year 2, I am excited to see this potential weapon added to Jaylen’s arsenal. The one thing I want to see from him in Year 3 is his ability to get into his jumpshot off the dribble. He showed me he can knock down the open set shot, now I want to see that next level.

Forgive me for burying the lede, but obviously the best part about this video was the Brad cameo. You want to talk fundamentals? Watch that chest pass. Of course Brad isn’t going to just sit and watch the session, he’s going to be a part of it to show Jaylen how to do things right. Some guys go to Drew Hanlen for their development, but you see the Celtics have that added bonus by having Brad willing to lend a hand. You cannot find better one on one training than getting Brad to lace em up and run drills with you. If I have one dying wish, it may be to simply do drills with Brad Stevens. If you watch that video and think Jaylen isn’t going to crack an All NBA team then my friend you know nothing about summer overreactions.

But yeah, let’s trade this for Kawhi. LOL
