Big Ev AKA The Double Vodka Don Intern Update: I Got To Use an Official Barstool Mic

So Intern Jake The Rake and myself got the green light to do some man on the streets around the city and we were pretty fired up. As someone who’s done a few man on the streets in the past and once used a butternut squash as a microphone, it was quite the upgrade to use an official barstool mic. For the last few years I’ve watched guys like Caleb, Rone, Robbie and others use them in videos and I always thought how wild it would be to have that mic in my hands. The power, clout and prestige that comes with it must be EXHILARATING. Like jerking off and not shootin’ a blank for the first time. What a feeling.

When it was time to go out and shoot, one of our great video guys brought down a camera and two official Barstool logo microphones for us to use as we went out and conquered the streets of Manhattan like the two young, hungry content machines that we are. When I saw them my eyes lit up like Draymond Green when he sees a clear angle to kick someone in the balls. I was ready to send my foot directly into the nut sack of that microphone.

When I approached it the Barstool logo began to glow. Was I imagining things or was this real life? Then the microphone began to hover about 2 feet above the table, just below eye level. The perfect height for me to reach out and grab it. Now I knew it was real life.

We grabbed those mics like Luke Skywalker picking up a light saber for the first time. (I’ve never seen Star Wars, but I imagine Luke had to be “hype” the first time he touched a light saber.) It was a magical moment. Here are some highlights of are New York City Galactic Warfare:
