Yahoo News – A crocodile in Australia has eaten a small dog that had taunted it for a decade and was famous for chasing the eleven-foot reptile into the water.

To the horror of guests at a riverside lodge who had gathered to watch the spectacle, the saltwater crocodile did not scurry towards the water as the dog ran at its head.

Instead, as the dog’s owner, Kai Hansen, said, the crocodile “did what crocs do” and clenched the dog in its teeth before returning to the water.

Mr Hansen said he was “really sad” and had not watched the graphic footage of the incident, which was captured by onlookers.

But he said he did not blame the 220-pound crocodile for attacking his 15-pound dog.

Nobody likes to start their Thursday with dead terriers. Not me, not you, not anyone. I’ve had two dogs in my life and the passing of my first dog was borderline traumatic. I would never wish the death of a dog on anyone.

That being said, this is a story that has a little more to it under the surface. Actually all you had to do was read the first line of the original article so I wouldn’t even call it “under the surface” it pretty much was on the surface. This decent boy had been taunting this crocodile for a decade! Did he deserve to get eaten? I’m not gonna go that far but I will blame the parents, or in this case the owners. If you’re gonna let your little dog taunt a fucking crocodile for 10+ years, you can’t really complain when he turns into lunch for Casey the Crocodile.

Mr. Hansen was quoted as being “really sad” about his dog getting devoured by the 11-foot crocodile, which honestly sounds like something you say to reporters if you’re trying to sound like a normal human with feelings but in you’re head you realize it’s all your fault and there’s not much else to be upset about. Maybe Mr. Hansen gets it after all. His dog is dead and it’s all his fault. Happy Thursday.

Here’s a palate cleanser.
