Tommy Smokes is a comedic content creator for Barstool Sports. Originally starting off as a social media intern in 2016, Tommy worked his way into a full-time content role in 2018 after becoming Dave Portnoy’s gambling good luck charm and a member of Team Portnoy. Since then, Tommy has been involved in a number of viral social media moments, highlighted by a “Vape God” interview on Fox News that was later parodied by Pete Davidson on Saturday Night Live. Tommy hosts a YouTube series called “The Smokes Show” which is a half-scripted, half-reality chronicling of Tommy’s life as a single 29-year-old in New York City, as he tries to achieve a variety of absurd goals (like making the Forbes 30 Under 30 List). Tommy has also done sketch comedy acting in “Out Of Order” and will be co-starring in their upcoming scripted sitcom “Les Mascots.” Additionally, Tommy creates many short-form videos on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and X where he delivers comedic musings on the minutiae of daily life and current happenings. Tommy is also a frequent participant (and winner) of Barstool’s reality shows. He has won Surviving Barstool, Barstool’s Most Dangerous Gameshow, and The Dozen Trivia Tournament. He is an avid Survivor fan who hosts a podcast called “Snuffing Torches” that recaps every episode. The only thing he’s probably more passionate about is the Yankees, and he can often be found screaming at them in the middle of a playoff live stream. Tommy can be found on a number of other Barstool programs, including “The Bracket”, “The Rundown”, “Stool Scenes” and more.
