Post Malone Tipped His Postmates Driver With A Copy Of His New Album

Complex- Post Malone’s new album Beerbongs & Bentleys doesn’t hit stores until tomorrow, but the rapper just might have shared the new project a bit early in an unexpected way. Twitter user John Funtanilla, who goes by @iJohnF, shared a video of himself with a Postmates delivery driver claiming the rapper was his last delivery dropoff and he got the CD as a tip for his service. “I never heard this song before,” Funtanilla says in the clip while vibing to the unreleased track playing in the car. “My Postmate driver said his last delivery was to Post Malone and he gave him a CD as tip,” his caption reads.

Earlier this week, Post Malone shared the album artwork and tracklist, but it’s not 100% clear which of the songs is the one in the video. A recent tour stop in Nashville a few weeks ago saw Post perform a previously unreleased track called “Stay,” but that song’s pop-rock vibe makes it quite different from this one. YG would later share the tweet along with the peeking emoji, so it’s possible the song is “Same Bitches” featuring him and G-Eazy.

Listen, I like Post Malone a lot. I only semi-recently started listening to his music and there’s some toe tappers. He’s a complicated figure in the music industry but his songs bump. They bump. There’s no denying that. Stoney is a fantastic album. Big Lie? Go Flex? Deja Vu? I Fall Apart? Feeling Whitney? All great songs imo. And I’m super excited for Beerbongs & Bentleys to drop but I’d be pissed if I’m that Postmates driver. PISSED. Uhhhh yeah Post I’m excited about your album but albums don’t pay the rent pal. Albums don’t put food on the table or pay my cell phone bill. Certainly not a Post Malone album. Again, I like him but come on. Hit me with some new Drake or new crazy Kanye and we’d be cooking with gas. Those are worth more than money.

And it’s not like the Postmates driver can bootleg it and make money. The album comes out tomorrow. There’s simply not enough time to bootleg it. Nobody is gonna pay money for something that’s gonna be everywhere in less than 24 hours. Post Malone really put this driver in a tough spot. Less than 24 hours isn’t even enough time to brag about it. He’ll get a few RTs out of it but nothing monetary. Although the driver seems pretty happy so what do I know.
