An empire built on players no one really wanted. The New England Patriots Way. #DoYourJob #KCvsNE

One of the best parts of being in the Superbowl every year is that we get videos like these. Like as much as the media hates us at some point even they are forced to tip their caps and bow to the king. And I know I’ve said this before but this Patriots dynasty is the greatest run in the history of sports. People always come out of the woodwork when I say this and point to other dynasties in other sports. Or even the Steelers or Packers of yesteryear. They talk about the Yankees or UCLA. Boston fans can talk about Russell’s Celtics. But in this day and age, with the salary cap, with a league designed for parity what the Patriots have accomplished is by far the greatest achievement in the history of sports. It’s the Roman Empire. The world will never see anything like it again. 7 superbowls, 4 possibly 5 rings, 10 AFC title games and on and on it goes. At the beginning of every season I say the worst case scenario is we make it to Championship weekend and every year I’m right. It’s a period of dominance we’ll simply never see again. Teams have come and gone. Teams that we beat in Superbowls have relocated. Coaches we’ve beaten in Superbowls we’ve now beaten in the playoffs with other teams. QB’s who were our arch rival with one team are now playing with new teams. Coaches who beat us in superbowls have since been fired. There has been change pretty much everywhere throughout the league. The only thing that has remained the same is the Patriots are always the team to beat. We’re always the guys everybody expects to hoist the Lombardi Trophy. It’s an amazing run. A run that should be studied, cherished, and worshiped not only by Pats fans but by anybody who appreciates true greatness. Because dynasties like these don’t come around twice. We’re all lucky to have witnessed the greatest run in the history of sports. It makes us all better people.
