Winthrop's Team Manager Was In Hell After Losing His First Challenge Of The Season

If you watch enough college roundball, or collect enough phone numbers you pick up on the inner workings of the staff, and their responsibility. One of the more important, and unheralded jobs is the review guy. It's a guy with a laptop, or an Ipad or both, and they somehow have a feed to actual videotape without the delay of the broadcast, even with all the people I talk to - I still haven't figured out how they do that, and the minute something controversial happens or a close call- they head coach and all the assistants yell something along the lines of "DO WE DO IT? DO WE CHALLENGE IT?" as many times as humanly possible in like 5 seconds while the staffer watches it and gives a signal to review it or not. High pressure stuff. They are usually designated to film 24/7 for scouting and practices, and game days are no different.

This poor Winthrop kid looks like a Grad Assitant, or a high level manager (if he's not I apologize but he does look young) and I bet that when he took this job he never thought he'd be in hell during a 9am tip while sitting in a folding chair sweating out a review, but that's the business baby. I absolutely loved the face he makes after the call, as well as the assholes (respectfully) taunting him through the whole process. "28 OF 29" was a perfect chirp. Good luck next time kid.
