I Cannot Wait For Madison Square Garden To Update Their "Garden 366" With Iconic Knicks Moments From 2026

NY Post- As Garden chief Hank Ratner gave a tour of the new “Garden 366’’ display on Friday that rings the Madison Concourse, he mentioned the historical exhibit can be updated.

The visual retrospective touts one thrilling moment in Garden history for every day of the calendar year — including Feb. 29. A panel spent one year picking 366 moments, and it stands as one of the highlights of the Garden’s second phase of transformation.

“Every day something else could happen that is bigger and can change this,’’ Ratner said.

For now, “Garden 366’’ is special enough for New York history buffs as it caters to more than just sports fans. The Knicks, Rangers, college and high school basketball, wrestling, tennis and boxing get their share of days (the Knicks commandeered 56 dates). But also part of the 366-piece ensemble are historical music concerts, political moments and miscellaneous events, such as Pope John Paul II’s visit on Oct. 3, 1979.

Took a trip to the iconic Madison Square Garden last night for Chasing Goals. Grew up with my Dad taking us to Knicks games and The Big East Tournament, was lucky enough to work at The Garden as in intern and part time staffer back in the day in college, and right out of college, and feel like every time anyone had a ticket to MSG for a game I've enjoyed it. Iconic. Learned a ton while working there, tons of great memories watching games. Something special about the way they keep it dark and light the court like it's a stage.

However, when I worked there it was not the Garden it is today. The first day of my internship the girl showing me the ropes told me the key to the door to a closet for contest props was the building access card around my neck. You could simply jiggle it in there and open it up. I'll never forget that. The seats were old, the concourse wasn't great, the food was ancient. It needed a face lift in a bad way. And the Garden 366 really is a cool idea. It wraps the entire concourse and has a moment a day at MSG for every day of the year. Really mesmerizing to see how many not only iconic, but different things took place at 33rd and 7th.

On my walk around the bowl, it hit me. "We get another cool Knicks thing." This summer was iconic for The Knicks. First title in forever. The city was magical. Curse of many fans lifetime's was lifted. Special team, special moments. Iconic. And the title, and the watch parties and the parade was all fantastic. And while the glimmer of that trophy literally may never wear off because of how special it was to the team and the city, the new season is upon us as well as other distractions like football etc  and it's been a little bit since we thought about Brunson and the boys, or it least it has for me. Then a random trip to MSG had me hiit a lightbulb in my head. The iconic moments list gets to be updated.

All due respect to Madonna's June 10th 1985 debut show at the Garden

OG Gets the 10th .... and put it up RIGHT FUCKING NOW. It should be ready to go by opening night. Any delaying it is a decision that is really stupid and frankly an insult to fans. Put it up now, let people point to it in pictures, celebrate it, and let it live on forever.

Cannot wait to see it for the first time in person, and it better be sooner than later.
