"God Just Blessed Steph, Man" - Steph Curry Remains Must Watch TV, This Time Doing Shit We Haven't Seen Since Michael Jordan

I'm not sure if it's right to say we're currently living in the Golden Era of the NBA, so you can call it whatever you want, but what I do know is that we are lucky enough to be living in one of the greatest times in NBA history. If I've said it once I've said it a thousand times. The beauty of the NBA is that every single night, you have a very good chance of witnessing something insane. Chances are, you're going to see history. To me, that's what has always separated the NBA from other sports, and last night was no exception.

When it comes to this era, we've been blessed with some of the best to ever do it in the history of the sport. LeBron, KD, Harden (offense), Chris Paul, Al Horford (don't laugh, he's a Champion and a Knight) the list goes on and on. It's why I'm not sure what to call this current era between the living legends and the collection of incredible young talent ready to take over once the old guard finally moves on.

And then of course, there's the Baby Faced Assassin. The ageless wonder. The greatest shooter to ever walk this earth. One of the most terrifying players the league has ever seen, and someone who there is simply no stopping once he gets going.

If you can't tell by now, I'm talking about Steph Curry.

As we've seen for years now, Late Night Steph Curry is one of the most electric and must-watch athletes in all of sports. And while Wemby made his own headlines in the Spurs/Warriors battle last night

For me, the story of the night was this basketball demon

In terms of the actual game, what I love about these Steph performances is that the entire world knows what's coming, but nobody can even come close to stopping it. The Spurs had a 10 point lead with around 6 mintues to go, as if that meant anything. The issue, was that Steph Curry exists. Once he started to get things going in the 4th, anyone watching the game knew what that meant. Destruction and pain were on the menu. The shooting, the off ball movement, Steph was a maestro in the closing moments, like he so often is when he enters this Late Night Steph zone. You can't look away. Every second he's on the floor, whether he has the ball or not, you can't keep your eyes off him. What's awesome is that all of his teammates know it too. Possession after possession, we saw them pass up open looks just to get Steph a contested look, because a contested Steph Curry jumper is still 100000000x better than any other NBA player taking an open shot. That shouldn't make sense, but it's true. Especially when he's on a heater like he was in the 4th quarter of this game. When he enters that zone, it's an unwritten rule that nobody else should be shooting the basketball (credit to Gary Payton II and Podz for some big 4th quarter 3s, but you get what I mean)

And look, we just can't ignore the fact that he has now tied Michael Jordan for the most 40 point performances after turning 30. If you're curious, that number is 44.

Not only that, but Steph also passed LeBron for the most 45+ point performances after turning 35. Curry now has 7, LeBron still with 6. Look, if you're doing something that puts you in a group with Michael Jordan and LeBron James, that's a pretty big deal. When the only people who have accomplished what you just did on a basketball court are arguably two of the greatest players of all time, I think it's OK to celebrate that.

And you know what? With how Steph looks right now, that number is going up. We are seeing zero signs of regression from Steph at this stage of his career, which might be the most ridiculous thing of all.

We only have so many of these moments left when it comes to all the old guard legends, so do not take these performances for granted. One day, they'll just be a memory. Future generations won't believe us when we talk about Steph Curry and what it felt like to experience performances like this. Knowing your favorite team has to stop Steph Curry is so deflating, yet you can't help but shake your head and appreciate when he's out there ripping your heart out, because he's doing it in ways we've never seen before. You're both mad and impressed at the same time, it's a weird thing to process as a fan while you're watching him bury your favorite team on their own floor.

So like I said. Appreciate the greatness and don't take it for granted. If Steph Curry is playing a basketball game, watch it. I don't care who it's against. Cherish these moments before they're gone, and by all accounts, there are plenty more on the horizon. What a player.
