Mike McDaniel Pulled Up To Elbo Room To Troll Bills Fans After The Win
The curse has finally been lifted, the Miami Dolphins have beaten the Buffalo Bills for the first time since I told the Chef to “enjoy his flight home,” which feels like a lifetime ago, three long, painful years. I can’t even begin to describe how infuriating it’s been playing this team twice a year, thinking this is the season we’re finally on their level, only to get manhandled every single time. In 2023, the division was right there for the taking, last game of the season, at home, against Buffalo, and we choked it away. Last year? They straight up beat the breaks off us. It wasn’t close.
But this year… this 2–7 football team with absolutely nothing to play for decided to show up and put belt to ass on the Buffalo Bills. I couldn’t believe what I was watching. Half the game I was debating if I even wanted to win, but once that clock hit zero and it sank in that we actually beat the Bills, I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face. For one fleeting moment, it reminded me and every Dolphins fan why we keep caring, why we keep coming back despite all the heartbreak. Because even if it’s 99% pain, it’s that 1% of pure joy that keeps us hooked.
And then to top it all off, seeing Mike McDaniel cruising past the infamous Elbo Room in Fort Lauderdale just to troll Bills fans, who act like that bar is their hostile. That little moment of swagger brought so much joy to my heart that I almost, almost stopped pounding the table for him to be fired. I can’t let recency bias cloud my judgment… but damn, it feels good to beat the fucking Bills. And it feels even better to have a little swagger back in South Beach.
