VJ Edgecombe Is Clearly Too Locked In On Basketball To Worry About Decorating Any Walls Around His Home
Emilee Chinn. Getty Images.Things weren't going great in Sixers Land for a little while there. Last year was a lost season. Embiid was hurt for 90% of the year, the Paul George signing seemed like a gigantic bust, and they ended up back in the draft lottery right where "The Process" started in the first place.
Turns out that lost season could end up being the greatest things to ever happen to this team. Because it gave the Sixers the #3 overall pick in the draft, and with that pick they chose VJ Edgecombe. The perfect kid with the perfect mentality and the perfect work ethic and the perfect skill set to give this team the boost they needed. He's the type of player who isn't going to take anything about life in the NBA for granted, because he knows exactly what life out of the NBA is like. Between him and Tyrese Maxey, the Sixers have gone from a gutless team of underachievers to a team that is all heart and balls.
But when you're so focused on doing everything in your ability to be the best basketball player you can be, that means other priorities have to take a backseat. You can't be wasting time going out shopping at home decor stores if you're up in the gym at 6am every morning.
The good news is that after this clip, people are going to find out where VJ Edgecombe is living and he's going to have packages filled with art showing up to his building non-stop all season. Everybody who has ever painted anything before is going to be sending their artwork to VJ Edgecombe for him to hang up on his walls. The amount of cardboard boxes he's going to have to break down over the next few months is going to be astronomical because of this clip. The Sixers better get ahead of this now and just hire someone to go through all those packages for him, because we can't let anything disrupt the game that VJ and Maxey are playing together right now.
These guys are the best. It's been a while since we've had a hungry basketball team in Philadelphia. These guys have it.
