The Newly Introduced $150 Tomahawk Platter At Dodgers Stadium May Be The Best Meal In Sports
Listen, there's a lot of buzz about one of the great baseball games of all time last night. It was a six and a half hour all-time classic that if you haven't seen by now, you live under a rock:
But I don't want to talk about baseball. I want to talk about the new tomahawk platter at Dodger Stadium that was introduced for the World Series. I don't know what compels a team to introduce a whole ass tomahawk steak during the biggest series of the season, but I say we keep that platter on the menu for generations to come.
No one was saying the price of this tomahawk platter, probably because no one was smart enough to order it, but after some journalistic research, I found out that it was $150, and if you trust this guy's food opinions, actually very good:
While I would have loved to see that tomahawk eaten like a lollipop, it seems Dodger Stadium which is #1 in hospitality in my books does the work for you. Look at the smile on that guys face as he watches Ohtani, the greatest athlete of all time next to LeBron James mash home runs like it's nothing.
The bone marrow tacos with those Dodger blue tortillas look pretty good as well, but the real star of the show is the tomahawk platter. I'd like to fight anyone who says they wouldn't love a tomahawk platter while they watch baseball because that looks like an ideal ballpark food. You're in the World Series, the pinnacle of the sport. Why wouldn't you want a giant steak instead of that hot dog you can get at dollar night in every ballpark in the country?
Yankees fans love to rave about their Legends Club where you get sushi, lobster tails, steaks, and whatever else for the price that I can only imagine is like a thousand dollars per seat. And I'm pretty sure that's eaten inside a club-like setting and not right at your seat. Give me the succulent tomahawk platter that I can eat directly in my bleacher thanks to the Left Field Plaza-Grill.
And we're not talking enough about how $150 in that setting is a steal of a deal. You can't even sniff a tomahawk steak in NYC for $150, let alone in the World Series. And he had 18 whole innings to eat it. Sign me up for a tomahawk platter the next time I'm in Dodger Stadium.
P.S. They certainly sold out of these last night judging by the concession lines in the 17th inning:
