VJ Edgecombe Is Literally Better Than LeBron James, And The Sixers Are So Back

You want to know what I hate about Barstool? I hate how all the bloggers constantly feel like they need to write in hyperbole to get their point across. I hate when they go so far above and beyond any realistic take on the game, and just give you some ridiculously blown out of proportion take. We are journalists, and we need to hold ourselves to that standard. We can't just say whatever outlandish things we decide to spew out of our fingertips onto a keyboard without any sort of statistical evidence to back up those claims.

So here's the claim: VJ Edgecome is better than LeBron James.

And here's the evidence to back it up.

He asserted his dominance in this league right off the bat by putting up 14 points in the 1st quarter alone. LeBron James only had 12 points in the 1st quarter of his NBA debut. And it's not like he just came out of the gates hot, and then finally started to cool down. VJ Edgecombe finished the night with the 3rd most points ever for a rookie making their NBA Debut.

This isn't my opinion. This isn't hyperbole. This isn't hot take culture.

These are facts and statistical evidence that are literally saying VJ Edgecombe is better than LeBron James. If both of these players ended their career after just one NBA game, you'd have to say that VJ Edgecombe had the better career. You'd have to say it.

So not only do the Sixers have the next LeBron, but now you get to pair him with a Tyrese Maxey who is ready to explode onto the scene as one of the most prolific scorers in the game.

40 points on the night for Tyrese Maxey. 34 for VJ Edgecombe. Jared McCain is going to be back in this lineup at some point.

And then you get to add in Joel Embiid whenever he's healthy enough to play. The Philadelphia 76ers just took a trip to a nice little neighborhood called WeSoBack. I think they're about to buy some property.
