Kevin Durant Might Be The Easiest Person To Troll On All Of Twitter
I know people always give us shit when we blog about things that somebody else at Barstool did. But this one got me good. I also just love Mostly Sports. I think it's the most underrated show at Barstool and feel like it should be bigger than it is. It's the perfect daily show for keeping up with sports in an extremely casual way. I would recommend it to anyone.
I also love all things relating to Kevin Durant's social media. Specifically Kevin Durant's Twitter (@KDTrey5). He uses Twitter in the polar opposite way of what the NBA preaches to their players when they enter the league. "Don't read the comments... don't let the fans get to you... nothing good can come from it.... don't settle down by your fire place every night with a nice Malbec and lock in for long night of arguing with troll accounts... you'll only get yourself in trouble"
Kevin Durant must have skipped that day of the rookie symposium. Because he does all of those things. Constantly. With zero fear of how it might make him look. Zero fear of consequence. Zero concern that he might be playing directly into the hands of so many people who only @KDTrey5 to elicit a reaction.
I also just want to see if Kevin Durant will read this. It should be insane for me to think there's even the slightest chance that my blog would come across the desk of one of the greatest basketball players in NBA history. But considering the way Kevin Durant uses Twitter... as willing as he is to mix it up with ANYBODY... I could be writing this on my old JohnRichTV.com Wordpress site and he still might find it.
Kevin Durant is so deeply online, firing from the hip in the replies, that you barely even have to try. To the point that Mark Titus and Brandon Walker can make a throw away joke on a live show where in 60-seconds they come up with the laziest plan possible to elicit a Kevin Durant reaction, and Kevin Durant will still take the bait.
It took 86-minutes for Kevin Durant to respond to that tweet. That's good stuff. KD said, "Who is this handsome asshole telling me I have no real rings" (then seemingly went to Mark Titus' Wikipedia page to discover he declared Pre-Med when he enrolled at Ohio State)

Kevin Durant on Twitter is as relatable as an athlete has ever been. He's not above interacting with anyone. It could be a fellow Hall of Fame athlete, an official Barstool Sports show account, or some anonymous middle schooler with 4 followers and a LeMelo Ball profile pic. Or even a Twitter bot. I'd be shocked if Kevin Durant has never gone back and forth with a bot at some point in his career.
He's the best. On a social media platform that only continues to get shittier and shittier by the minute, Kevin Durant is a bright spot. Keep 'em coming, Sniper.
