Cardinals HC Jonathan Gannon Ended Today's Press Conference With One Of The Wildest Answers You'll Ever Hear

Listen, it's not everyday you listen to a press conference clip and genuinely have no idea what to say after hearing a response. HC Jonathan Gannon was asked what is actually not that bad of a question in how he deals with emotions in coaching, but what he said no one could expect next. I'm not enough of a ball knower to know what happened in 2007, so I went to my trusty Google machine and it would surprise you to know that Gannon was a "defensive quality control coach" with none other than the Atlanta Falcons in 2007.

Now, that adds some context! I wonder if there was a high profile quarterback arrest for the Falcons in 2007? I'm not sure who I thought he coached for but that certainly wasn't it. I wouldn't have been surprised if he had some backup quarterback at some D3 school who just like got piss drunk and got a public intoxication arrest or something, but nope, just one of the biggest stories in sports arrests history. I'd like to know how the defensive quality control coach had to deal with Mike Vick's arrest, but we didn't get that far. Loved the "coach, thank you" at the end there like he knew he just struck reporter gold. That's an answer you get and you know you're going to be seeing all over Twitter later, and by God, we got that.

I'm coming around on Gannon even though I think it was kinda outrageous that he got fined for the Emeri Demercado incident a few weeks ago:

I think we should fine the player for dropping the ball before the end zone, especially if you're a Cardinals fan, but anyway, good luck to Gannon the rest of the way and thank you for what we can only describe as a jaw-dropping response.
