Would You Pay $1,500 A Night For A Hotel Room Overlooking The Blue Jays Field During The ALCS?
This is the easiest question ever to me, $1,500 for a room in the Rogers Centre is a steal and a half! ALCS kicks of tonight with Toronto taking on Seattle and as expected, Tickets are NOT cheap at all. The Blue Jays fans are rowdy and ready for a home game in the ALCS and are paying out the wazoo. But if you have a group of friends, maybe 8-12 buddies, why would you not take advantage of this deal? Instead of paying what, over $500 a ticket for Game 1, why not just take that money, you all use it for one of these sick hotel rooms in the Marriott in center field and have yourself a night? You can bring all your own food and drink into the hotel room, that's an advantage right there. You aren't waiting in line for a hot dog, no long lines for beers and bathrooms, that is almost worth it right there. The convenience factor is through the roof.
You obviously have a great view of the game, plus can still throw it on TV to hear the commentators if you want to hear them. You're going to be MUCH more comfortable chilling in the hotel room rather than packed in like sardines in the nosebleeds. Pop the window open and have some fun while eating whatever food you want essentially. This is an absolute no-brainer for me. Don't have to go anywhere after the game, can fall asleep right there, rip a shower before heading out on the town if they win, I think I'd actually prefer this over a physical ticket to the game. Maybe the baseball game is a blowout and you just turn on Chiefs - Lions in the 3rd inning, that's a good plan too.
Seriously, $1,500 between 10 people plus buying your own food and drink is way less than what you'd actually pay for a ticket. I'd absolutely try and make this happen with some Canadian friends if I was a Jays fan.
Hell, if you're a Mariners fan I'd try and pull this off too. Again, you don't have to leave the room you're sleeping in to watch the game, what is better than that? You literally get everything you want when going to a game but don't have to worry about the hassle of being at a sold out playoff game. It's perfect, so if you have the chance and the funds, go for the hotel room in center over the ticket down the third baseline in foul ground. Plus it's just an awesome experience it seems, this is an easy answer for me. That $1,500 price tag split between some buddies is nothing if you're a diehard fan and you absolutely have to be in the building. You get the best of both worlds if you get this hotel room, you're at the game but don't have to deal with the crowd. Can lay down whenever you want, bring your own food in, it's the perfect storm for a playoff game.
