Bills Fan Sitting Front Row Of The End Zone Got The Souvenir Of A Lifetime And Made A Trillion IQ Play To Ensure He Kept It
A fan caught a Josh Allen throw away in the end zone in what can only be described as a dream scenario. Allen scrambling to the right, everybody is covered, and he sails a ball out of the back of the end zone. Right into the waiting arms of a guy in a Matt Milano Bills jersey that made a nice catch.
Now normally in this situation what will happen is NFL security and the ball boy will come over and get the ball back from the fan. The balls have chips in them now and even before they did, there are only a set number of actual game balls. They want all accounted for at least until the game is over.
This savvy fan must've known that because as soon as he caught it, he shoved it up his shirt to hide any curious eyes from the ball boy and security team. Even smarter, he just hightailed it out of there preventing them from retrieving the ball back from him.
Now that guy has an incredible souvenir, a game ball that Josh Allen threw to him during game play. He also has his 15 seconds of fame with Mike Tirico calling his run up the stairs. Did he leave the stadium and potentially miss a primetime divisional game? Potentially, but it's a fair trade. Kudos to the genius in the Matt Milano jersey with the good hands and 99 situational awareness.
