My New Favorite Dish In NYC

With all the new food content I've been putting out, I've been lucky enough to consistently try more delicious dishes now than I ever have at any point in my life. However, even after all the exotic cuisines I have sampled recently in glamorous locations like Clifton, NJ, and Salamanca, NY, the best thing I have put in my mouth over the past year is the pork chop and cherry pepper dish I had last week at Brooklyn Roots in my hometown of Brooklyn, New York.
For those people who are cool old enough to remember the pork chop and vinegar peppers they used to serve at Two Tom's, this dish is very similar—only better. And that little nuance of throwing the roughly trimmed bone into the deep fryer to crisp up before sitting next to the slices of pork swimming in garlic and white wine deserves the biggest fucking chef's kiss I can find.

The staff and management at Brooklyn Roots are fucking fantastic, and were so grateful for my stupid little video that they are offering a "Barstool Special" this week that includes all the highlights from my meal…
Now…Similar to what Chef alluded to above, a restaurant has never paid me for any of the 200+ reviews that I have done so far on this new platform, but I fully expect a free dessert when I go back with my family for my new favorite dish this Sunday afternoon.
And I say it at the end of every review, so I will say it again right now- Whoever is reading this, put a fucking pin in this pork chop dish at Brooklyn Roots because YOU GOTTA TRY IT.
Take a report.

The lovely & vivacious Hannah Montoya co-hosts the latest episode of YGTT…
I was skeptical about how 'real' she would get recording with a stranger who probably resembles one of her creepier uncles. But I can tell you right now that Hannah is real, and she's spectacular.
