Florida State Loses in 2OT to Virginia, Which Had Maybe the Best and Most Dangerous Field Storming of All-Time
Holy cow, what an ending on a Friday night in Charlottesville. No. 8 Florida State lost its first game of the season to the Cavaliers in double overtime and the Virgina students didn't even give the official time to signal incomplete before they were out past the 10-yard line. I don't think I've ever seen a field storming like that.
What a game this was, though. The two teams combined for 954 yards, each team turned the ball over three times and FSU put together an incredible drive at the end of regulation to get to overtime in the first place, but couldn't quite pull off another miracle.
It seemed the Seminoles had scored a touchdown in 2OT and would have a chance to tie it again with a two-point conversion, but Duce Robinson juggled the ball for about a tenth of a second too long.
When you get a Friday night banger like this, you know it's going to be an insane weekend of college football. What a game. What a field storming.
This is only Friday, folks.
