Livvy Dunne Proved Last Night She's Actually Ride or Die For Paul Skenes

It's easy to say you're ride or die for your significant other, but you gotta show it. Being in the building for Paul Skenes' first start of the season or his career is one thing. You gotta be there. How about Cincinnati on September 24th when the Cy Young was already in the bag? Nothing he did on Wednesday night mattered at all besides it being his last start of 2025. But who was there sitting in the suite screaming her lungs off for her man? Livvy Dunne. That's ride or die, folks. This woman was going through it as he navigated his way through the Reds lineup. Truly living and dying with every pitch.

Now is it possible she had Skenes' strikeout prop? Maybe even an over for an outs bet? Perhaps a "Reds don't make the playoffs" future on the line? Being that into his start would make sense if one of those were true. It's more likely, however, she's truly that supportive of her man, and for that I have no choice but to commend her. That is ride or die.

Paul Skenes just capped off an incredible 2025 season with that start against the Reds. Most likely he will win the NL Cy Young award in unanimous fashion. He's off to one of the best starts to a career by a pitcher in the history of the game. That may seem like hyperbole, but it isn't. 55 starts, 320.2 IP, 386 SO, and an ERA of 1.96. He's truly unbelievable, and it's been that way from his first start. It's awful he's buried on a hopeless team with no shot of any postseason appearance for the foreseeable future. He is the definition of this meme.

While being on an awful team is depressing, it's still so good to be this guy. Reminder about the point of this blog, his ride or die is Livvy Dunne.

Life is great for Livvy too though! As long as Skenes' elbow holds up, not only will he be making hundreds of millions of dollars in a few years, but he'll have his pick of any city to play out the prime of his career. They'll be living in New York or LA. But again, life is really, really good for Paul. Enjoy that offseason big fella.
