NFL 2025 Survivor Pool Journey - Mapping Out The Season And Your Week 4 Pick
Week 4. Down but not out. Just one of the two entries remain after Jordan Love reminded me why I never bought him as a potentially elite quarterback. And that Browns defense. Whoa. They just moved into the official "don't fuck with us" category for survivor picks. We'll never pick them to win. But we can no longer look to them as an easy victim. With that said - here are my updated survivor pick tiers which is a thing I just made up after learning the hard way not to "fuck with" the Browns:
NFL Team Survivor Tiers
Maybe mapping this out every week will help going forward for our final entry. Also maybe not being on a week long cruise with small children. Because what's the point of having kids if you're not going to blame your gambling issues on them?
Let's focus. Here are the games I'm eyeing for Week 4.
BRONCOS vs Bengals
Jake Browning was supposed to be the reliable backup capable of game managing plus. I even overheard some guy on the cruise who knew Browning from his home town's high school talking about all the high school records he broke and how he'd be a starter on pretty much any other team. Yikes. I mean - even with Joe Burrow the Bengals were a shaky team due to their porous defense. Now things are looking disastrous.
TEXANS vs Titans
The chart above would advise not picking the Texans as they are a "Not playable" team. But it is tempting seeing as how bad this Titans team is turning out to be. Brian Callahan has officially waived the white flag on play calling and dished it out to his staff to figure out.
LIONS vs Browns
Yeah - staying away from this one. The Lions look like Super Bowl Contenders but the thought of Jared Goff trying to run from this Browns defensive front at the speed of jelly falling off the side of a PBJ is a recipe for disaster. One I won't take part in.
CHARGERS at Giants
It's officially Jaxson Dart time. Anytime there's a quarterback change, I tend to steer clear of picking against that team. Last year I faded picking against the Panthers when Dalton got the nod for that very reason. The Panthers would go on the beat the Raiders I do believe right after their miracle win in Baltimore. Just an all-time survivor pick monster one way or another those Raiders were last year.
Anyway - the cross country thing also has me a little worried here. Maybe because I just did it.
Week 4 PICK
BRONCOS vs Bengals
I should put it out there that I initially was going to pick the Chargers but went back to map out the other weeks and decided I needed them Week 17 vs the Texans. And as you can see - it's open season on random guy from the cruise's home town boy Jake Browning. It's the Monday Night game too so hopefully we see some Sunday surprises before a little sweat.
