The Legend at the Linc: Jordan Davis Blocks His 2nd Field Goal Of The Day And The Eagles Pull A Miraculous Comeback Win Out Of Their Ass

Holy shit. Holy frickin' shit.

The Philadelphia Eagles had absolutely no business winning that football game. If Sean McVay weren't the biggest coward on the planet who kept settling for field goals, the Rams would have been up 50-7 after the first half. The Eagles picked off Matthew Stafford on the first drive of the game, and then scored a touchdown off the turnover. After that, the Eagles defense couldn't get off the field without the Rams making a trip to the red zone. The Eagles offense looked like the most putrid pile of dog shit you've ever seen. Four straight 3&outs where it didn't even look like they were trying. Kevin Patullo seemed like he legitimately had no idea you're allowed to throw the ball forward, and just kept calling for inside handoffs that were getting stuffed before the ball was even in Saquon's hands.

And that's where the fans come in. Philly fans are world renowned for being the best fans in all of sports. Philly fans are going to mercilessly bully you into submission. We'll make you feel like a complete and total piece of human garbage until you finally become the best version of yourself. Turns out that the best version of Kevin Patullo is the one who calls plays to get the ball to AJ Brown.

The Eagles' passing game was non-existent through the first 2 weeks of the season. It was non-existent through the 1st half of today's game. But once they let Jalen take the lid off the offense and really let it rip? The Eagles finally looked like the ass kickers we've always known them to be.

6 catches for 109 yards and a touchdown for AJ Brown. Only 1 catch but a huge 33-yard touchdown for Dallas Goedert. And 8 catches for 60 yards, and a big time touchdown to take the lead from DeVonta Smith.

All 3 of your big receiving targets putting 6 up on the board. 3 passing touchdowns and 4 total touchdowns out of Jalen Hurts. And all it took was the Philly faithful laying into Kevin Patullo and the coaching staff the whole first half to get them to turn it on.

And while it was great to see the passing game get going, the real story of this game was Jordan Davis. He was the biggest, baddest dude on that field today. Which is crazy because he's actually way smaller than he's ever been before. The big fella put in the work this offseason, dropped 26 lbs to make him a little more explosive and agile. And holy shit did it pay off today.

He got in there to make a huge stop on 4th down while the Eagles were down by just 1 score.

The offense wasn't able to do anything after the turnover on downs, so here come the Rams trying to add onto the lead with a field goal. Jordan Davis said "eat shit, nerds".

Blocks the kick, and the Eagles offense goes 91-yards down the field to take the lead on the next possession. The only issue is that they left plenty of time on the clock. Just under 2-minutes to go, and all the Rams needed was a field goal to win the game. They went 44-yards down the field, and had a chance to walk-off at the Linc with the revenge they were looking for from the playoffs last year.

Once again, Jordan Davis told those nerds to eat shit and get back out to California.

This fucking guy. This was the Jordan Davis that was promised. This was the Jordan Davis that everybody dreamed of the moment he was drafted to Philadelphia. He's been perfectly good during his career in Philly so far, but this is a disruptor. The type of guys who opposing teams always have to prepare for. He's here, and he's glorious.

What a win. It was so, so ugly during the first half. It felt like as bad of a loss as we've seen in over a year. And out of nowhere, it turned into one of the most exciting wins we've seen in a while. That's Eagles football, baby.

P.S. -- Kevin Patullo should still find his ass firmly planted in the hot seat. He didn't do anything special. He basically just let the fans call the plays in the 2nd half.
