All We Know Is Misery: The Giants Keep Finding New Ways To Ruin Us As Fans, Now Hold An NFL Record For Losing On 60-Yard Field Goals

I don't want to talk about this game. It sucked, it was miserable, it made me pissed off way too early in the football season ... again. Clem summed it up here:

Instead, all I can think about is what the fuck happened to this franchise. Not just the fact that they made terrible moves, didn't develop a ton of talent and constantly lose games. But the fact that we find new ways to lose. Point here:

Oh. Well, at least it's a record!

[Source] - The 64-yard field goal the Giants conceded on Sunday moved them past the Detroit Lions (3) for the all-time lead. No other team in NFL history has been victimized more than once.

It can't keep happening. At some point we have to be on the right side of luck. We can't even win a game where Russ Wilson turns back the clock and looks like a legit quarterback (before making one of the dumbest throws we've seen). We have Malik Nabners. We have what should be a great defense led by a shit defensive coordinator. But the goddamn field goals, man.

I don't think there was a Giants fan who thought Aubrey would miss that kick. It didn't matter if it looked like he may miss right at first, we've lived through it all. Yeah, we had our fun with the Super Bowl runs, but for the last decade all we know is pain and misery. I'm also aware that 60-yard field goals don't seem like much these days, kickers have ridiculous legs. But when do we get to make a 60-yarder to win? When do we get the luck that a kicker misses or does something stupid? We've paid our dues. We've lived through the lowest parts and watched terrible football for a decade. Someone has to fix this at some point, right? It can't always be this bad.
