Nick Sirianni Could Start At QB For 31 Teams In The League After Seeing Him Launch This Challenge Flag (And The Eagles Beat The Chiefs. Again)

Eagles vs Chiefs. It's a matching that is turning into quite the rivalry. A rematch of Super Bowl LIX. But if we're being totally honest, I wasn't feeling that same hype heading into this one.

Don't get me wrong, it's always easy to get excited for a game against the Chiefs. But it's week 2 of the season. The Eagles have a million new starters on the defensive side of the ball. They have a first time play caller at offensive coordinator. Technically speaking, the Eagles vs Chiefs is a Super Bowl rematch. But the teams out there today were wildly different than the teams playing at the Super Dome in February. All that being said, it was a big game.

And big time players always manage to put on a show in big time games. So with all eyes on this matchup today, Nick Sirianni decided to deliver one of the most iconic challenge flag tosses in recent memory.

Golly did he launch that thing. He put both ass cheeks into that one and let it fly. Great form, perfect release, he knew that thing was money from the moment it left his hands. Most coaches are just going to lightly toss the challenge flag onto the field like they're playing a casual game of cornhole. Not Coach Sirianni. He's throwing a deep ball with a little extra spice on there.

Now unfortunately, the challenge flag resulted in the call on the field being upheld. It doesn't matter that Jalen Hurts clearly broke the plane on that first tush push down at the goalline. I guess the NFL's shitty cameras weren't high enough quality to give the shitty refs enough evidence to overturn their shitty call. No big deal, because they'd just punch it in there without a doubt on the very next play.

A tush push for 6 points thanks to DeVonta Smith getting the Birds down there with another dagger deep ball catch against the Chiefs.

And the whole reason the Eagles had the ball in the first place was thanks to another rookie picking up a big interception in a big moment against Patrick Mahomes. Last year in the Super Bowl it was Cooper DeJean. Today it was Andrew Mukuba getting the first pick of his career.

Pretty much the same story as last year's Super Bowl. Points were hard to come by with both defenses playing great. It came down to who could win the turnover battle, and then that offense making the other team pay for turning the ball over. The Eagles didn't turn the ball over once. Patrick Mahomes threw one pick, and it ended up with 7 points on the board for the Eagles a few minutes later. There's your game.

2-0 already with a division win, and a big win in Arrowhead. Not a bad way to start the repeat tour.
