Jared Gordon Apparently Got Hit By A Car Yesterday And Fought In The UFC Tonight

Jared Gordon just fought at UFC Noche, and despite his best efforts, got finished by Rafa Garcia in the third round. Moments after the fight ended, his teammate Belal Muhammed tweeted that Jared got hit by a car yesterday and "popped his knee" - but he didn't want to pull out so he fought anyway. Uhhhh - that's fucking crazy?!

Don't get me wrong, I love Jared Gordon as a fighter and his whole story is super inspirational. He's friends with Jerry and we had a lot of fun with him during the build to the Paddy The Baddy fight. I've got nothing against him - but how do you not disclose that?! Did he tell the UFC the accident happened and just say he's fine? Did he hide that from them completely?! I can't wrap my mind around it! I mean - people bet on a guy who got hit by a car yesterday?! 

I'm picturing the scene in 'Whiplash' where Miles Teller gets t-boned and still hobbles his way on stage; I'm sure it wasn't that bad, but that's the movie version of this scenario....

....add it to the long list of things that Jared Gordon has powered through in his career. Definitely a guy you could make a movie about one day.
