'Don't Disrespect New Orleans' - Jon Sumrall Made Sure To Prove A Point Against Northwestern After They Denied Tulane The Right To Wear 2005 White Jerseys

Tulane requested to wear white jerseys today, the same worn in 2005 in its first game after Katrina Northwestern denied… “When you disrespect the city of New Orleans, you’re going to run into it… I’m not trying to be a jerk but don’t disrespect the city of New Orleans.” - Jon Sumrall

Love this from the future University of Kentucky football head coach. He's a man who respects tradition and history. You try to deny Tulane the right to wear the historical white jerseys and this is what happens:

You rightfully get your ass kicked. You also rightfully get shoved into a locker by a Gruden (former Kentucky player too) guy

Love the move. College football is built on dumb decisions. The first dumb decision was by Northwestern not letting Tulane wear the white jerseys. I don't even think you should have to ask, if you're the home team you wear whatever you want. We shouldn't let Oregon get away with wearing whatever the shit they want and Tulane get shut down of the whites.

Tulane is awesome. I don't know how else to explain it. Elite colors, elite name, elite coach (I want him back home at Kentucky, can you tell) and they should have said fuck it, we're wearing 2005 whites. Northwestern can wear purple or whatever they want, people forget they are in the Big 10 anyways. Either way, lesson learned. If a team gets denied a jersey decision, they will beat your ass.
