The Kid Who Got His Signed Hat Stolen By An Adult At The US Open Got To Remeet Kamil Majchrzak After His Warmup And Got An Entire Bag Of Merchandise
Unless you live under a rock, you heard about the adult (using that term loosely) stealing the hat from the kid at the US Open a few days ago:
Since then, a few people have found out that he's the CEO of some company and a zillionaire which makes this even worse of a situation. But what is probably going to be years of shame from his peers and the fact that he looks like a giant asshole on one of the most viral videos of the entire Internet this week is ending in a happy ending for the kid. Kamil Majchrzak got him an entire bag of merchandise, including that awesome hat which has an even bigger meaning now.
As one of like three tennis fans in this entire company, it's cool to see this story get recognition and some extra eyes on the biggest 2 weeks of the sport stateside. And it's even cooler that they made it right even though they didn't have to, and it's all at the expense of an idiotic fan. The good guy wins!
P.S. There's plenty of big tournaments in tennis but it's no surprise it happened at the US Open. Sick tournament but it's become wildly influencer-filled and "cool" for corporations to send their employees to, like this guy who besides being a huge dick by stealing the hat, probably had never been to a tennis match before and thought he just caught a record breaking home run or something. No decorum whatsoever for a lot of people at those matches, including talking through the entire set, while they're serving, etc. It's kinda bananas but at the end of the day a giant win for the growth of the sport.
