Listen, a kickoff return was bound to happen this weekend along with a spectacular catch, a fumble, a blown coverage and 100 other things that happen on a football weekend that makes us love this stupid ass game. But it hits so different when it’s the first night in a game so early. It’s what we’ve been waiting for, thirsting for, and striving for all spring and all summer. Like a cold high noon after a hard days work or a drive down the shore in traffic, like a nap after doing something early in the morning you hated, or a good lunch on a shitty day of work.
