The Wrestler Who Raja Jackson Brutally Assaulted This Weekend Is Finally Awake

In case you didn't see it over the weekend, Raja Jackson - son of Quinton "Rampage" Jackson - brutally assaulted a professional wrestler named Syko Stu in what seemed to be a planned-spot-gone-wrong.

It started all when Stu hit Raja with a worked punch backstage, where the wrestler thought he was setting up a storyline with Jackson for later in the evening - but Raja was clearly unfamiliar with how wrestling works and he took it very seriously and very personally. Stu apologized and Raja accepted the apology, as seen here....

....but that didn't stop Raja from getting his "receipt" in the ring (after some assholes in the locker room suggested getting real-life payback), which consisted of a brutal slam and dozens of vicious punches while Stu was unconscious. It's honestly very hard to watch, but if you're interested, the clip is HERE. He was eventually pulled off by a couple other wrestlers, some of which were also caught in the crossfire, and Stu was unconscious for a loooong time. It was terrifying.

It's been a few days since then, but I honestly felt a bit weird about blogging it until we knew Syko Stu was alive and okay, and today we thankfully got the update that he's doing alright. It turns out he's a beloved Army veteran, and his GoFundMe has already exceeded its $110,000 goal thanks in part to tons of high profile donations. It also turns out that Raja seemingly acted out of pure frustration/rage with his Kick chat - and possibly his father calling him a "bitch" moments before the assault....

….which is absolutely insane. Many are calling for Raja to be arrested for attempted murder, but as far as I know, nothing has been done as of yet. He didn't seem overly remorseful on stream afterwards, and definitely did not understand the scope of what he had just done, which is all the more scary. How could anyone - let alone a trained mixed martial artist - throw that many punches at an unconscious man's head? It's egregious!

Rampage was also live at the time (side note: do these people just live their entire lives on stream?) and commented on the situation….

It's a horrible situation all around, but hopefully they do the right thing and arrest Raja and/or get him the psychological help that he clearly needs. Best wishes in continued recovery to Syko Stu.
