Beatles Fans Continue To Eat: A Brand New Anthology Documentary Is Coming Soon
I know Disney+ gets a lot of flack from all angles nowadays, but if you're a Beatles fan - you can't deny that we've been EATING these past few years. From Peter Jackson's phenomenal 'Get Back' project, to the Scorsese-produced doc last year, to now a new installment of The Beatles Anthology; it's been pretty fucking awesome.
The Beatles Anthology is still, thirty years after its release, the gold standard of music documentaries. It's a super comprehensive dive into the full history of the band featuring interviews with Paul, George, and Ringo recorded around the time of its release - and it even spawned a Beatles "reunion" of sorts where the remaining members finished some ideas John Lennon had been working on prior to his death....
It hasn't been easy to watch over the past decade, though! It's not streaming anywhere and never got a BluRay/4K release, so you'd either have to find it on a sketchy site full of pop-up ads or order the DVD box-set at a rough resale price. This remaster will make it was more accessible AND hopefully bring a whole new generation in as fans - plus we're getting a new installment added on! New unheard versions of some of their most classic songs, a look inside the recording process of others, and tons of fresh content across multiple platforms....
It all comes out in November (vinyls appear to go out on November 21st, the documentary streams on the 26th) and I can't wait.
