Something Similar To This $3 Million Dollar Pot In An INSANE Heads Up Match Would Be Dave's Only Chance Of Beating Me
I'm not even sure how to explain how big the poker is in Cyprus right now. These absolute sickos are playing ginormous stakes, winner-take-all heads up matches with millions upon millions on the table:
Poker.Org - In some of the wildest poker action ever streamed, Ossi Ketola and Dan 'Jungleman' Cates played a series of massive heads-up matches on Tuesday at the Onyx Club Super High Roller Series.
The two smashed the record for the largest pot in televised poker history multiple times, with the biggest reaching $7.7 million and nearly breaking the eight-figure mark. Cates lost the record pot but still ended up a huge winner, with just over $15 million in profit over a crazy 12 hours in Cyprus.
There are a ton of ridiculous hands and pots over $5 million, but my favorite is this hand where the unthinkable happened:
What is your inner-monologue when you have the K6 and this flop comes….

And then the runout only got better for him!

Flopping quads only for your opponent to turn a full house and river a better full house…mama mia!
And I think that's the only way Dave can beat me heads up on September 3rd. Yes, it's happening! $20k each, $100/200 blinds, winner take all. I'm kinda thinking maybe we should do $50/100 so it has more play…but whatever. Let's get in and out and make a quick $20k, no harm no foul. Dave can win though! I mean if he flops quads he can win. Besides that, what should I buy with my new money? Probably treat the office to an open bar and some appetizers and use the rest to buy myself something nice, maybe a Brick Watch or something like that.
BUT WAIT….THERE'S MORE!
On September 2nd we will be streaming a SnG with other Barstool employees. Look at that- a 2 day poker event for Barstool. I wish Smitty was here to see it through, it's all we ever wanted. Hopefully it goes well and we can do more things like this. More details will be coming soon but I'm stoked.
So buckle in…and I better learn how to play poker ASAP.
