Start Spreading The News! "Les Mascots" Stars Shine Bright On The Red Carpet In New York City Ahead Of Tonight's Worldwide Premiere

A stormy night at Angelika Film Center set the stage for the stars: John Feitelberg, Tommy "Smokes" Scibelli, Harry Settel, Owen Roeder and Mikey Pavinelli called upon New York City's elite (and beyond!) for a night at the theater. 250 film and TV lovers gathered to see a sneak preview of the new Barstool Sports scripted series “Les Mascots,” written, directed and produced by the dream team above. The new kids on the block came out with a bang - laughs, tears, celebrity cameos and a concept that will have you seeing a side of New York City that has yet to be explored - the life of a Mascot, or rather, the men behind inside the masks.

I won’t spoil the show (PREMIERING TONIGHT AT 8PM!) but as a personal friend to all of the above, my totally objective opinion is that it’s fantastic. If you want a true unbiased opinion, here’s more praise written by a totally different news outlet. See? It really is excellent!!! I don’t even have to lie!!!

You know what else was excellent?

THE FITS THESE BOYS GOT OFF ON THE RED CARPET.

Without further adieu, let’s break down the (shockingly great?) looks at the Les Mascots premiere.

Tommy Smokes

Tommy went with a tux from Men’s Warehouse (a cost-conscious King!); the red jacket I'm told is paying homage to his character Marlon who, of course, spends his days in an Elmo costume. I've also heard rumors around the office that Tommy is in the middle of upgrading his entire wardrobe so credit must be given to the fact that he thought ahead enough to even get a red jacket! This is the kind of foresight we’re looking for on a red carpet. If you’re not going to show up wearing designer, it’s best to show up on theme. I do believe Tommy knocked this one out of the park. You can hardly tell that his tie is a clip on!

Mikey Pavinelli

Pavs is a budding star not only in the world of producers, but in the fashion sphere as well. As far as I’m concerned, he's one to watch. I want to give credit to the school of John Feitelberg, but I do think Pavs already had that dog in him (fashion wise.) Personally, I’ve never seen this man stumble. The YSL jacket? Took my breath away. The (80s style) Armani pants? A detail that many would overlook, but may be the heavy hitter of the outfit. Topped (or, bottomed) with Del Toro shoes, as Pavs is of course, close with the Italian designer. No notes.

Owen Roeder

Another man behind the camera, the pen, and essentially the entire concept of Les Mascots - Owen came correct to collect the fruits of his labor. If we're talking personal favorite outfits, Owen is HIGH on my list solely because of the Cranberries Tshirt. I fucking love The Cranberries (IRELAND REPRESENT!) Pairing it high-low style with the camel color Banana Republic suit was different, exciting and innovative. It’s not often you see guys at Barstool sports taking fashion risks like this! In Owen's case, it absolutely paid off.

John Feitelberg

A very high bar has been set for the Fashionista of the group, and as expected, he nailed it. Not only do we recognize John's signature eye for style, but this look has me more focused on the tone. The relaxed fit of the green Harris Wharf London blazer over the crisp Todd Snyder collared shirt oozes humility, at a time where John can be anything but humble. Talk about "Quiet Luxury!" This is of course, not John’s first big acting debut. He recently appeared in an episode of Shane Gillis' Netflix series 'Tires,' opposite Vince Vaughn. I'd say the tapered NN07 slacks and Del Toro shoes show us the perfect expression of how John felt moments before taking the big screen - calm, cool and collected. Whether or not he truly felt this way, who's to say! The message received is that he is taking this new chapter seriously. After seeing John’s outfit, it’s clear to me that he and Pavs are kindred spirits, perhaps twin flames, in fashion.

Harry Settel

The artist formerly known as Lil Sas arrived on the carpet of his premiere with the kind of style confidence only Adam Sandler could bring. A classic soft plaid polo, a pair of pants, and he's out the door. A simple man who is focused not on his own appearance, but his art in question. Seeming quite camera shy for someone who literally starred in this series, I'd say his outfit can best be described by the people:

Harry's team didn't respond to our requests for comment on his look, but don't let this Maxxinista mayhem fool you  - his performance in the series speaks for itself. (Actually, no jokes here. Sas is so good. I think I finally get the hype!)

All jokes aside - this whole blog was mostly an excuse for me to gas these guys up. I was lucky enough to be in the audience for the NYC premiere, showing two episodes of this series and (omg am I going to start crying?) I am so overwhelmingly proud. Not only is it hard to write, film, edit, produce or ACT, the vulnerability of presenting your art to the masses takes another level of mental fortitude. I've watched them all working day in and day out to turn this vision into a reality and as a friend, it's hard to put into words how it felt seeing the final product. I held my breath as it started, and finally released a sigh of relief over the fact I won't have to lie through my teeth in telling everyone - Les Mascots is awesome.
